About David Young
David Young has been working as a touring and recording musician for the past 15 years playing equally adeptly on Electric and Classical Guitar. He also continues to work as a busy guitar teacher teaching in all styles of music.
In 2005 David produced the highly acclaimed DVD "Classical Guitar Performance" by Carlos Bonell which has been a huge international success.
David was seen extensively on Sky TV's Musicians Channel in 2004/2005 giving rock guitar lessons on behalf of music education company "Gigajam" for whom he is the guitar school course writer. Courses written by David for Gigajam include rock and acoustic guitar as well as a classical guitar course which was co-written with Carlos Bonell.
David has played with television personalities Marti Caine, Jim Davidson, Bradley Walsh and Brian Conley, and has recorded for the hit touring musical show "That'll be the Day"
He has also worked with Gerrard Kenny as well as spending four years with The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Big Band and performing at various national theatres, including The Royal Albert Hall.
2006 will see the production of the rock musical "Bloodbath" which has the musical score written by David Young and Julie Maguire which has been set to the script and lyrics of Tony McHale.
David has also been playing solo Spanish/Classical guitar music at , functions, dinners and weddings for many years and continues to perform frequently at many events.
David is advertising manager and a principle organiser of the London International Guitar Festival which in 2005 featured John Williams,Carlos Bonell,Alirio Diaz, Brad Richter,Pavel Steidl and Gary Ryan.
